Cosy Meets Sparkle
The Breton is back! Having been worn to near death over 2015-2018, the old classic has revived itself once more. Wear this jewel buttoned version with an enveloping mist of fellow classic, Clinique Aromatics Elixir ( not one for the faint hearted it is the definition of heady), which settles down into the most addictive warm, musky scent. Keep your neckline smear-free with a dash of deep scarlet Maybelline Lip Ink which will stay put all evening while you eat spaghetti carbonara at a suitably social distance from your dinner party guest or Tess and Claudia.

Maybelline Superstay 24 Matte Ink (Pioneer), £9.99, Look Fantastic
Iconic Sheep
Recognise this? Yes, it’s the iconic sheep jumper Princess Diana used to wear to the polo – cleverly juxtaposing a jolly knit with a not so subtle allusion to her black sheep existence. Or maybe she just liked sheep. We’re now feeling sad about the former interpretation. Diana’s 80’s/90’s style is currently being feted more than ever and this jumper has just been reissued by Rowing Blazers in collaboration with the original designers Warm & Wonderful. Diana wore hers with a large Peter Pan collar tied with a black ribbon which looked fantastic. We’d add a classic nude lip, a spritz of Diana’s favourite perfume worn during this jumper’s era, and a binge-athon of The Crown.

NARS Audacious Lipstick (Barbara), £26, Cult Beauty
Houbiquant’s Quelques Fleurs (100ml), £160, Liberty
Classic Crew Neck
Ooh, we do love this chunky crew neck from heritage knitwear company Peregrine who make all their clothing from locally sourced wool. This one would look great oversized with anything from jeans to a satin bias skirt. Lace with the heavenly woody, vetiver scent of Chanel’s Sycamore ( we prefer it to Le Labo’s Santal) and add Victoria Beckhams’s brand new Posh Lipstick in Play (Frankly we’d buy it for the faux tortoiseshell packaging alone) and Winter will be far less gloomy, we promise.
Aran Funnel Neck Jumper, £85, Peregrine
Chanel Sycamore, £155, John Lewis
Posh Lipstick (Play), £34, Victoria Beckham Beauty
Pretty Scallops
We’ve been eyeing this jumper for a while now and annoyingly we like it more and more every time we hover over it. If you’re in need of a gorgeous soft knit with a scalloped flourish, this is the one for you. The vintage feel, pale blue would look amazing with a pop of geranium red lipstick and we’d add pure essence of cosy with Maison Margiela’s Coffee Break with notes of coffee, lavender. and cedarwood. Pastry optional.
Scalloped Jumper, £85, & other Stories
Bobbi Brown Luxe Matte Lip Colour (On Fire), £28, Netaporter
Maison Margiela Coffee Break (100ml) , £83.85, Feel UniqueÂ
 Aran Turtle Neck
With it’s ribbed turtle neck, slouchy cut and classic cable knit pattern this is the kind of jumper you will wear for years and years. Add to this the fact that it’s made from recycled wool and it could well have been around for year and years in another guise already. Brilliant! We would dose ourselves up with the warm, spicy citrus notes of Pomelo for extra vitamin C and add a natural pomegranate glaze courtesy of Burt’s Bees for a complete Winter cure-all.
Carrie Rycycled Wool Jumper, £149, Baukjen
Jo Loves Pomelo (50ml) £70, Space NK
