This month we've rounded up our favourite eco-conscious beauty buys to help you be more planet friendly when you shop...

1
Bamford Rose Bath Oil, 250ml £48

Made from 87% organically grown ingredients and housed in a beautiful glass bottle this sumptuous rose bath oil is a firm favourite of ours.  Envelope your senses in a spa like bubble of emotionally healing rose fragrance with added  Ylang Ylang and soothing Chamomile for their calming and nurturing properties.

2
Pacifica Vegan Collagen Fluffy Mascara, £20

This sell out mascara is 100% vegan and cruelty-free and is made from all natural ingredients including plant based collagen which conditions and strengthen lashes while it lengthens. Tiny plant-based fibres, which hook onto your natural lashes are the secret to this mascara’s extra lengthening properties and staying power. Housed in a 100% glass bottle for easy recycling and a little less plastic in the world.

3
ROSE INC Reusable Make-up Rounds, £14.50

These reusable organic bamboo cotton make-up rounds are the softest we’ve found and at £14.50 for 10 pads, including a drawstring mesh bag that you can store them in and then throw into one of your weekly washes, we think they’re good value. A far more sustainable option to disposable cotton pads and cheaper in the long run.

4
Hourglass Curator Eyeshadow refil, £28

How many redundant eyeshadow palettes do you have languishing in your drawers? Have you gone off the colours completely or have you used up the three out of ten colours you actually like in the set? Why not curate your own make-up palette, only choosing shades that you really, really know you’ll get use out of, by investing in a refillable palette from Hourglass? The stylish recycled tin and plastic palette which can accommodate from 1 to 5 eyeshadow pans comes in at a rather reasonable £10- £16, while individual eyeshadow pans (there are 40 shades to choose from) which snap in and out of the palette are £28. We know what you’re thinking – OUCH – that’s an expensive palette, but the quality and pigment pay off is incredible and this is a long term investment in terms of planet and pocket. Might have to put this one on the birthday list…

5
La Bouche Rouge Lip Pencil, £26

Have you noticed that hardly any eyeliners or lipliners are made from  wood anymore? There are SO many retractable plastic pens out there that seem totally unnecessary… The La Bouche lip pencil is made from sustainable cedar wood and an infinitely recyclable metal cap and has a 98% natural origin ingredients formula, made with castor oil, squalane and Vitamin E. A lovely lip liner that glides on giving great colour and definition.
