fiive minutes Beautiful Bathrooms to Browse
Obsessed with herringbone tiles and contrast grouting? Us too. Here are our favourite pampering parlours to gaze at and dream.
Monochrome
This is super bold and we love it! The floor to ceiling vertical black and white stripes that race down to the skirting boards give a sense of drama to this otherwise classic bathroom space. Love that scalloped mirror too.
Starry Nights
This is the wet room of dreams! Starry eyed, magical dreams! Who wouldn’t want to immerse themselves in this space and enjoy using those minimal concrete shelves and brushed brass fittings. The mesmerising tiles are by those clever folk at Popham Designs and we want them.Â
Orange Grove
This eclectic bathroom feels so lovely and personal thanks to the unexpected mix of art work, accessories and print. The whole look is pulled together with this luxurious citrus themed wallpaper The overflowing basket of loo roll adds to the whole sense of abundance. Yes, we did just type that.Â
Forest Retreat
We are all for wallpaper in bathrooms. As long as there’s ventilation there’s no reason not to go wild with a roll or ten. This Raphael wallpaper in dark blue from Sandberg looks so good with these powder blue vintage style tiles and the rattan blind is a touch of genius. Always nice if you have a Ming vase handy too…Â
Pink Paradise
Blush pink hexagonal tiles, brass fittings and a sumptuously deep bath tub makes this one of our favourite ever bathroom situations. We’re also lusting over those textured, two tone towels. Image from Cletile TilesÂ
Go Bananas
This little cloakroom is giving us jungle fever. Who wouldn’t feel that little bit more alive surrounded by this now iconic banana leaf print Martinique wallpaper by CW Stockwell? This is a pic of Poppy Delevinge’s under stairs loo and the wallpaper also features heavily in LA’s famous Beverly Hills Hotel. We’re ordering now. Photo by Simon Upton via Instagram.Â
Geometry Class
These quirky geometric wrap tiles by Popham Design, create a fresh modern haven with recessed shelves for all those chic beauty buys. The contrasting utility style black fittings give it an extra crisp feel. Â
Pure Decadance
Well this is terribly grand isn’t it? A glass of Champagne is definitely missing from that wooden bath rack. Who wouldn’t want to sink back in bubbles (both kinds) in this freestanding beauty with the decadent surroundings of William Morris wallpaper, a dramatic chandelier and possibly a log fire. And look at all that storage!!  Â
Azure Retreat
More hexagons in a stunning shade of blue to transport you to crystal waters and the pampering feel of a hammam spa. The recessed storage and brass fittings are making us drool but that’s OK because no one will see that when we step under that stunning swan neck shower.
In Clover
This retro print clover wallpaper called Kloverblad from Swedish designer Josef Frank is so charming we could wallpaper a whole house in it but it does look especially good in this cottage style bathroom teamed with the contrasting blue paintwork and sweet under basin curtain.  Â
Tiler’s Bane
Ask a tiler to do this and their face will drop. They might even do a runner. But there’s something so wonderful about this intricate tiling pattern that leads the eye up and down in such a pleasing way, that it’s worth the negotiation and the extra tea and biscuits. This snaking mix of different hued marble bricks looks stunning. Image from Mandarin StoneÂ
Towelling Â
We’ve always dreamt of having a towelling-upholstered three-piece-suite in our bathroom but this plumpcious chair would definitely do for reading, manicures and general lounging. The pink zellige tiles look great laid up to skirting height and that antique linen press is just about big enough for our beauty haul.Â
