Beauty News 5 New Beauty Launches: December
Every month we round up the brand new beauty launches that have whet our appetite, piqued our interest and might well end up nudging their way into one of our TOP FIIVES. Stay tuned...
Chloe’s Atelier Des Fleurs collection adds a new heady bloom to its bouquet and considering the fashion house’s long term love affair with this particular flower, we can’t believe it’s taken them so long! Tuberose was the base of Chloe’s very first eponymous fragrance created under the helm of Karl Largerfeld and it’s one of those knock em dead, all enveloping floral scents that you either adore or find completely overwhelming. This could be the reason it has taken so long for Chloe to introduce a Tuberose based scent as the Atelier Des Fleurs collection is designed to be layered with two or even three chosen scents, as you would create a bouquet. This rich velvety honey with a pure finish is just about layerable we’d say but it really does deliver great waft on its own.
Here comes another shot of luxe beauty from Beauty Pie’s astonishingly accessible premium skincare range. At this time of year we’re suckers for anything that says, miracle, oil and let’s face it, ‘face’ and this particular Miracle Face Oil formulated with Grapeseed, Sweet Almond, Jojoba, Avocado, Baobab, Rosehip, Neroli and Turmeric Oils, plus antioxidant vitamin E, Kalpariane, Active Brown Algae, Phytosqualane and skin re-energizing Bakuchiol has got our radar quivering. Fragrance-free, clean, vegan and devilishly handsome on your dresser, this oil promises to make your skin look amazing with just a few drops a day, targeting fine lines and uneven skin tone. We’re going to run it through its paces and will get back to you ASAP.
There’s something magical about crocuses nosing through the grass in early spring and those precious strands of Saffron they produce are such a gastronomic miracle it’s easy to believe that this golden ingredient could work equal wonders for the skin. Korres certainly believe this to be the case and their new anti-ageing, skin plumping moisturiser contains plant collagen and 1-day fresh, vivid saffron extract from hand-picked pistils of Krocus (Greek saffron) to deliver instant and long-lasting hydration, brightening and global anti-ageing – we think global means everyone, everywhere – but do correct us on that. Great for skin that’s dull, dry and showing visible signs of ageing, we’ll be troweling it on…
YES! Something fun and frivolous from the doyenne of sparkle, Charlotte Tilbury. We knew we could rely on her to pull out the good stuff! This limited edition eyeshadow palette features shades called, Shimmering Champagne, Illuminating Amber, Shine Bright and Midnight-Black Diamond for mesmerising party eyes that will make Christmas feel like an event even if you are just having turkey pizza and a glass of Shloer with a boxset (which actually sounds very appealing).
Burt’s Bees have long been on our radar for their fabulous hint of a tint, soothing lip balms made from responsibly sourced beeswax and shea butter and they have just added to their existing six shades with two brand new lip enhances hues – Daisy and Magnolia. These deeper berry hues give a gorgeous cranberry sauce/ red wine glaze and are perfect for Christmas stockings.
